In his his flashbacks he viewed himself taller, leaner and with a decently built frame, seeing himself as more than he really is. The styles also provide at least a slight insight into how the characters view themselves and others. The main style is a poorly dated CGI that looks like bad claymation, however thankfully as stated the bulk of the film is primarily flashbacks! This is where the creativity is shown, there are four sets of flashbacks one for each character and as a result each sports a different art style making them feel distinctive to each character.
